Calling him a Champion for Working Families, Pipefitters Local 537 Endorses Keating for U.S. Congress
Second Major Union to back Keating in Democratic Primary this week
QUINCY -- Pipefitters Local 537, representing several thousand members in over 120 Massachusetts cities and towns, has endorsed District Attorney Bill Keating (D-Quincy) in the Democratic primary for the 10th Congressional District. The Pipefitters 537 endorsement comes just one day after the 22,000-member NAGE/IBPO/SEIU Local 5000 came out in favor of Keating.
“Bill Keating has been a fighter for working families throughout his career in public office," said Sean Tolland, business manager of Pipefitters Local 537. "Many candidates want the job, but Bill Keating actually gets results. He has a proven track record, and we believe he's the best candidate for working class families in this race. Bill will work hard to get our economy going again and help put people back to work."
